    What ski watch to get?

So I am looking for a good quality watch that is durable and cool to use while skiing.

    I want it to have:

    Altimeter
    temperature
    track up hill vertical
    downhill vertical
    stopwatch
    at least 2 time zones
    timer
    at least 2 alarms
    date

not be so hugh it looks crappy and doesnt fit under a base layer.

    under 200 usd

    Let me know,
    thanks in advance

Check out the nixon delta, I think it was designed as a ski/snowboard watch. I haven't played with it at all though.

Got my father the S-lander (very similar to S6 but w/o PC compatible log book) for $165 shipped - now selling for $199:

its not a watch but the brunton ADC might be a good option.
even has a compass and an anemometer.

it has a ski run feature as well and can nicely plot them on screen

I know it also has an infrared output to somehow transfer the data to a computer.

I need all of the above features plus some kind of alarm that lets me know if I'm having fun or not.

I have the Suunto Vector and I'm happy with it. The Vector has only one time zone. But it does has everthing else you listed, plus a compass. It is $199 at REI.

S6 looks pretty sweet. For those who have it, how does the "Degree of slope" feature work?

The Sunnto X6HR Titanium includes that I believe.

I have an X6. It's nice. Not worth the $ new, but nice.

I like my Omega Chrono Diver, it might not have altimeter and all the fancy stuff, but its waterproof, can take shitload of punishment and I can enlarge it so it fits outside the glove!!!

An omega is like 1500 bucks dude....

My best friend has a Nixon Delta, and IMO the thing is a piece of shit. It isn't waterproof, and the altimeter broke when it fell 8 inches onto a floor. I've heard from other owners who have gone through 3 or 4 on warranty. They are too heavy for my taste anyway.

I though the Nixon Delta was something to do with the Viet Nam War.

From what I remember, the watch has a little gun sight on it and you line it up with where the bottom of your run is and push a button.

I have a suunto observer and I couldn't be happier with it. But it's about $100 more than your price range, and may be a little large for your taste.

I would be hesitant to buy any watch made out of titanium. Yes, it's very light, but it's also very easy to scratch. Unless you just have a fetish for titanium, get one made out of stainless steel or plastic.

Watch SAC they come up regularly, but come to think of it, I haven't seen any lately. I have a Nike, it was cheap, but the battery died after 6 months, still haven't got around to replace it.

I love my S6. I've tried the slope angle thing but haven't really figured it out.

On the X6HR it's Compass Mode - Suunto - Slope - Suunto then tilt it so the straps are linear with the slope. Like the compass it's not really useful for precision work.
