apply and that you are not seriously proposing that your payout should be based on your capital gains???

Yes that’s tax should apply to all income and gains. Individuals would get credit for amounts contributed through capital gains the same as wages. Companies would not.

Taxing companies profit is hard because they spend so much to dodge taxes and report little to no profit, but possible. The current payroll system is nice because there’s no wiggle room.
