well if the weather stays as it is, we could keep that date in mind..Originally Posted by burny
otherwise i think one can seriously have a look at it from february on. it's plain south and not that high, so it'll be good quite early in the season.
ripz is right. it's the titlis southface. it's normally entered by a couloir starting right of that nodge close to the antenna. one can actually have a look into the face by just stepping 2m of the piste. the exit requires a rapell most of the time which is supposed to be installed. I don't know much about it though except that it might be long. one can have a look into the face by doing the "titlis rundtour" which passes right underneath, before it rises up to the "wendenjoch."
there's another route I'd like to have a look at in engelberg: if you enter galti right after you pass the last T-bar there's a couloir dropping of to the east in direction of the grassen bivvy. I'ld post it up, but I can't find any pictures...

Greg, ya freakin' wussy.... I tought you were planning on skiing it from the Titlis summit proper and after passing the 1st rock-band on skiers right, traverse to the "original" line.

yeah, of course I'd like to ski it straight from the summit. but it's so exposed I guess it really depends on the conditions especially on the stability of the snowpack.
I corrected my last post, it was somehow messed up.
I finally found some sort of overview. sorry for the quality...
Whoa, my line actually goes... It's the other (as in right) branch of Southface I was talking about...

Define "holding snow". I have been there a couple of times in the last few weeks and there is nothing there actually skiable (now).Originally Posted by homerjay

This thread is killing me .... and I like it.
Soooo many sweet lines.
Smoke'em If You Got'em
After a successful early season assault on the skinny chute last season, I still would like to just huck the whole damn thing.
But its more drawn-out than it looks...
Maybe huck off the end of the Spur run...off the tip.
But then again, it'll never happen...
Diggin that last pic 666!

Electric Pass, possibly? Looks to be in that general area.
you sick bitches need spanking up your cowards ass to not drop in behind the antenna on the cosy titlis and if you found out you would die trying to get back up from the snow plateau for exhaust etc or not be able to get up that steep pow chute being bitching scared that little rockfall below might be hard to climb in skiboots alive !Originally Posted by greg
BRRRRRIng the cowards to the shooting field !!!
now check out my video of the last lift on top as i filmed the way from the lift to the bottom of the t lift to the beginning of the black my ma said don´t do the black or i get scared and I anyhow got scared of it wheni saw it and i was 1b in 3 days and skied 30 weeks after that
the Colloir as you know so much french and feel like a mountain freak now is so evil that most men will die at it´s bottom once the avalanche has carried them over the little snow plateau if they get to the plateou alive they will figure out they will never get back up and no heli might be able to get them out because of the form of the stone
Doug took his live to warn me about this "trip"
the climb down in that cold with that wind would kill messner fully equipped
any other dumb ideas tonight ?
Few on my list:
1. Obvious peak in this pic, billygoat line down the east face:
The approach should be interesting.
2. Kiener's Route, Long's Peak, Red Route in photo:
3. North face, Teakettle Mountain:
east:
north:
4. East-North faces of Len Shoemaker Ridge/"Lightning Pyramid"
OBernhard-I really hope that you are not talking shit about Sir Doug Coombs. That shit is not funny. I think you have the dumbest idea of all asshat...now shut your pie hole before I do it for you.
