    Talking

according to Babel Fish, which is always good for a laugh..."cinta del conducto"

and if you re-translate that on Babel Fish...."tape of the conduit"

you need to beam the Sprite call high into the nite sky....and she will answer.

Um yeah. If you had simply always carried about half a roll wrapped around your poles, as I've always suggested, you wouldn't even be having to ask for it now, would ya?

When you are not sure, you have to sort of draw it out of them. Because you know, it's different in different dialects. So here's what I'd say:

Yo necessito un rollo de ese tape* que se usa para todo! Tu sabes, ese tipo que es platiado y tiene como unas cintiquas dentro que lo reinforca. Es el tipo que se usa para quando tu ripeas un guante, or si se te rompe el palo de esquiar, or si tienes que cargar una cerveza y se te olvido traer un abrigo con borsillos.

The person will immediately get what you are talking about. Trust me. And if not they are a dolt.

    That's "un dolt-o."

You can say tape pronounced "tape-eh" because that's spanglish and they know what you mean. Cinta is odd. We always say tape-eh.

Dude, this always happens to me. I knock on someone's door looking for duct tape and suddenly find myself in a Mexican Bacon Porn movie.

The spaniards may be a bit puzzled but they'll work with ya. They're a pretty friendly bunch overall. They got all the hostility out of their system with the inquisition and stuff.

But they may want to know how the fuck a roll of duct tape is going help you when trying to carry a beer having forgotten to bring a coat with pockets!!

    Or try this:

Me rompio el/la (insert name of broken thing or point to it and smile). Necesito la cinta adhesiva mas fuerte que tengas por favor.

loosely translates to: I broke my ____. I need the strongest adhesive tape you have please.

Y Sprite, tu facinacion con el tocino te hace aun mas caliente!
