a full meter up high and snow down to 200 meters above the valley floor means the turn is here!

Hit 30 degrees two nights ago backpacking at 11,000 feet in Colorado. Snow predicted up there this week...

The Turn, from baseball to skiing? Guess that time of year is here.

View from home window this morning at Kilpisjärvi, Finland. Early snow also in northern europe. This might even stick on high elevation on the mountains.

Been one of the nicer September/Octobers on record here in SW Montana. In the 70s and sunny again today with a hint of some rain/snow later this week. Going to mow the lawn for the last time and begin winterizing today. Bring on the Turn.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Temps are approaching freezing overnight and highs are not exceeding 75. The hardwoods here are changing color nicely and the larch trees are becoming chlorotic.

And we still have extensive wildfire activity. Have had four days in the last week with AQI exceeding 150.

"The Turn"

My version of “The Turn” was first day of the season at the ski shop yesterday….10-5….cleaned up/organized my “area”/about 10 installs/ and about 15 tunes while training a new guy on the machines.
