    Requesting vibes from the mags...

    Since I feel that this place really is a culmination of awesome people with awesome vibes I would like to request just a small amount of your vibes.

    Anyway, my mom is getting a biopsy done today on a possible tumor near her thyroid.

    So, if you have any spare vibes please send them this way and hopefully everything turns out OK. This is the last thing she needs in her life right now.

    FYI: the vast majority of thyroid biopsies come back benign, especially in women. Let's hope hers does too.

    The thing that is kind of sketchy is the fact that her doctor was delaying everything.

    She is part of a panel for managed care for Psychiatrists/Therapists, and was at a meeting with drug reps and doctors last week in Princeton. Anyway, this Dr. Muller (who the show House is based off of) was at the meeting and my mom was talking about her recent test results with him. He asked her a million questions, and insisted that she see a surgeon right away!

    At least I know she is in the hands of some of the best in the world.

    My mom went through the same thing and ultimately had her thyroid (with the growth) removed. She needs to take meds now, to counterbalance having no thyroid, but it completely eliminated the chance of a cancerous growth ever forming again.
