Gonna put one on my slayer after almost destroying the chainring.

I have no clue if its good or not and also what size to get in the choices.
I have RACE FACE Evolve XC chainrings.

e.13 ring and maybe make your middle chainring 2 or 4 teeth bigger

odds are you have 110 spacing, 4 bolt, 34 tooth.
if the middle ring is OK then just buy the bash guard, if the middle ring is done, go for a new 36 and the bash guard

that raceface bashguard is the one i have. it's the way to go if you dont need a full chainguide. i migrate my bullit between XC and DH mode depending on the time of year and this is the easiest way to go. just replace your big chainring with the bashguard and viola!
and from the looks of my bashguard, it has done it's job well!
