so who is skiing where on thursday. Alta or Bird or both?

I am making it to SLC area on wednesday night and want to ski thursday. If not a lot of people are making it to town to ski thursday, I would appreciate just one person to explore or guide my unknowledged ass around a mtn.

I know that Dantheman, Mountainman and myself will be skiing Alta, possibly the Bird on Thursday. I'm sure there will be the usuals out and about at Alta, so take your pick, just let me know by pm or call my cell-located on the first page of this sucker.

I will not be on the slopes till Friday morning. Then it ends for me Monday after I SKI ALTA (fot the first time). Alto, I need to talk with you for sure.

Who is boarding Friday at Snowbird?? Do I have any fellow knuckle draggers?? I would love to board with you guys and have Frizzo show me around, as we have been talking about getting our drag on since I blew out me knee.

Just got to fit all the gear into one bag and in a few hours time I hope to be on the plane and en route.

Arrive SLC Monday Feb 2 and depart Wed Feb 11.

Booked accommodation in Best Western Sandy as follows:

Monday 2/2 additional space if anyone wants to contact me
Tuesday 3/2 additional space if anyone wants to contact me
Wed 4/2 additional space if anyone wants to contact me
Thursday 5/2 think all space is taken
Sunday 8/2 think all space is taken
Monday 9/2 poss one space avail on rollaway
Wed 10/2 additional space if anyone wants to contact me

Friday/Sat 6-7/2 nothing booked, intending going to GT40 for Snowbasin.

Intend skiing Alta/Snowbird Tues 3/2 - Friday 6/2, so hope to see the rest of you as you arrive, and/or on Friday evening at Goldminers/Frozens.

breaking news: for the month of feb. snowbasin is giving 2 for the price of one for any passholder of other utah resorts. so everybody needs to hook up with pasholders and its only $27 a person, a pretty damn good deal.

edit: so no whining about not being able to afford basin. this makes it your cheapest option in utah.

Hey Xover..get the upper mountain open? Why, I've been tagging those lines for a while now. Are you heading up for Sunday? I won't be up on Saturday.

And for those who would like to ski the upper stuff at Basin....please do yourselves a favor and wear your av gear, ie beacons, shovels, and probes. Those lines are out of bounds and are not controlled! Last year, i had two, one pretty substantial, lines on me break. Scary shit and you are responsible for any rescue that might occur.

Last year, I believe there were only two or three of us that had gear......not a good showing!
