Originally posted by Walter Sobchak Friday morning Waterhouse still had good soft snow in the gully. Red Lake Peak on Saturday ranged from boilerplate and edgable windblown up high on N and NE aspects to mash and breakable crust down low on S and SE aspects. I heard Tallac was very firm yesterday and today. Seems like with a few more days of sunshine some S facing stuff might start to corn up.
Thanks Sobchack, that's kind of what I was expecting to here. We'll have to wait and see what kind of conditions tomorrow brings us and then I think were headed to Southern Sierra high elevations to find some good snow. Peace.
