Honestly, good for you to recognize that and I’m sure there will be plenty of good pups for you when it’s time.

He peed on the bed so it's a free blanket from Murdochs for now. I guess the slate is a nice comfy pillow. Rocky don't give a fuck..

Excellent shot. The agility of these dogs never ceases to amaze me.

I prob keep posting the same pics but I can't get over how much the new pup loves to snuggle into Walter. We'll just ignore the fact he has been constantly harassing him and leaving streaks of blood on his white fur as he loses teeth and bites the ever loving shit outta him...

Jesse‘s got a lot of dogs/family around right now, so she’s going on three different runs with assorted family members, and then when she’s not running she’s chewing on the other dogs, so when she’s not around them… she’s out.

We presently have two dogs and 3 cats. Our dogs are older and Gunther who is a little over 13 has maybe a year left in him. He is Maya's rock and I worry about her once he passes. I occasionally look on Petfinders for a few breeds and a two year old Samoyed just popped up. I sent them an intro about us and will see if they respond. Am I nutz to bring a third dog into the house?

7 years for us, no way I would do it without a fenced in yard.

Our dogs are older and lazier now, so that's made things easier.

So many unpredictable variables: will Gunther need a lot of geriatric care? Will there be any personality clashes between the current dogs and the new one? Personally, I think it could be good for Gunther to have some youthful energy around as long as the youngster knows not to push things too far. We've got 5 at the moment, mostly older (one very old with serious eye problems) with the most recent acquisition being a 9 month old ridgeback-visla cross - once the pecking order was established (took about 2 months) it's been good. Also depends on you being able to keep up with a young, higher energy, attention demanding dog - this was what got me the most with our newest addition. Hoping to not need any serious shoulder repairs.

Wow PB, 5 pups is a lot. I hear your comments. If the rescue will give us the time of day, I was going to drive my pups up to meet Winter. My dogs love other dogs and the young ones always figure out quickly not to fuck with Grandpa Gunther. I am certain a younger dog around would be great for Maya, with Gunther mostly ignoring him, but who knows.
Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate your comments.
