Salomon Pilot System bindings- any reps, techs or knowledgeable persons?

I have a partial set of Salomon Pilot System 912ti bindings. There are 2 heel pieces, and only 1 toe piece. So the first question is how easy will it be to get a replacement toe piece if it is not found? Next question is these are mounted on a plate that is lime green aluminum for the various Salomon skis, I assume. Can these be used on non-Salomon skis by removing this mounting plate in some way?

I'd listen to _roo, he's a knowledgeable person if ever there was one.

Don't the pilot binders attach to those plates with a bolt running horizontally across the width of the ski? No way those can be flat mounted.

You need to know what the hard deck for that operation is otherwise you'll never mount them flat.

The answers to your questions depend what year Pilot system you're talking about.

The first generation Pilot system used an integrated binding base plate and ski base plate. These cannot be retrofit. Skis having these plates include the Scream Pilot (green or brown/black) and the first gen. Crossmax.

The second generation Pilot system (starting with the AK Rocket Pilot, and includes all later Pilot skis) employ conventional bindings mounted to "flat" Pilot plates. There is nothing unique about these bindings. In the case of the performance skis, any Multicontrol/Spheric binding post/including the 957 can be mounted up. The bindings that came with these skis can be mounted to any conventional skis.

Removing the Pilot plates is easy; it only requires (2) Torx drivers and the removal of the cross shaft. The binding removes from the plate in the same way as any conventional binding.

and to add, if you have the 1st gen, you are FUCKED, because you cannot get parts (from salomon at least), but try yesisaidyes, i think he has some extra 1st gen bindings collecting dust

also, the second gens, you can pull off the plate and mount direct to the ski... as long as you clear the hollow tubes...

Salomon Pilot system rules of engagement are written for your safety and for that of your team. They are not flexible, nor am I. Is that clear?

I will obey them, or I'll be history- that's clear.

Obviously I am not a Salomon expert, so I can't say if they are 1st or 2nd gen. version. Or the wings, I assume the wings are used to mount them?

I did find some similar bindings on Ebay with a pair of skis/boots etc used- check out this listing (not an ad for the deal at all- just pretty good picts of the bindings in images # 5, 7, and 8 on the page.

Yes the plate has a hole on each side just like above, the binding color scheme is black though instead of red toe on the spherical wings.

That's a negative, RShea. The pattern is full.
