    Reuse a plate?

I've got an old Rossignol plate I'm thinking about reusing. It's made out of a composite material and has some sort of tacky, rubbery substance on the bottom which I'm guessing would adhere to the ski once upon a time. It also attaches via screws at the front and back of the plate. Can this thing be reused even though the bottom has lost some of it's stickness? Also, can this plate be redrilled?

    One of these?

Or is it one of those (mine were neon green) R500 carving plates?

Anyhow. The cheap & reliable way to go is to clean the bottom off with acetone and stick 'em back on with yellow weatherstrip adhesive.
