I know it's a Xtal thread, but...I'll be at Alpental on Saturday.

There is a chance some of us could end up at either Xtal or Stevens for Sunday. But that all depends on the snowfall totals.

Its' snowing right now and snow makes me happy.

Dude, we are BC Sunday fer sher. Its looking like 10 inches of new. Not the most we've seen this season, but enough to have a lot of fun.

Glad Luke is stoked. He really needs a pair to make his quiver complete. and I bet the ninjas look ridiculous. Glad the mounting holes worked out too.

Did it make you reconsider your DP 120 (or is it 138) at all? Even with the FFF those two skis are so tempting. They fit different niches. FFF for maching, DPs for getting creative.

and Luke....done buying skis yet?

and where are my damn skis. Don't expect the FFF until mid-March...but the capitals were supposed to be here mid feb. Greg just needed edges....grrr i need skis.

It will be worth it in the long run.

no...seriously. everytime I pick the gots up they feel miniture. I guess that happens when you can use the FFF everyday (O yeah PNW )

If my caps happen to make it here this week that would be sick.

if I end up bringing the Gots find me something to skin up. I haven't skinned with the Naxo yet and just want see how they do. Even if it is for like 50 feet.

though my 190 powder plusses are basically the same width and flex, so i have that covered. i can't wait for the 120's to show up. so stoked. uber fat & stiff jib ski. ill.

keep yer chin up, ace. they'll be worth it in the long run.

It has gone back and forth a lot, mostly for financial reason. But I've decided if I buy almost all capital/iggies that I will stop buying 10 pairs of skis a season.

Not 100% on the FFGS. Having thoughts of maybe a 180 or 190 FFL. I know tons of people love that shape.

But I had a pair of 185 FGS and loved them....so I figure a bit fatter and they will be great. New Iggies are light too.

Stiffness isn't dialed for sure either. 220 was at Adam's rec for touring. He said that something with the FFGS' shape makes its a pretty manly ski even down around 240 stiffness.

I guess a Kingswood midfat or a new capitial shape would be in the running too. But iggies...tough to beat.

EDIT: Thanks for ths s916 by the way. They been chilling by my desk for awhile waiting for the El Jefe. They look so...alone. I think they'll be happy soon

FFL and FFGS are very similar shapes, just FFGS is a shade fatter. which is better

FFGS has just a bit more shape....a bit fatter. biggest thing, though, is 180 is tiny. just tiny. If it were a 185 it would be considered more. The FFGS is sickness though.

I keep telling him to sell them. He likes them...but he really just doesnt ski them anymore. And if he gets the FFF he really wont. Plus...he has 10 skis now.

Do I get anything if I convince him ? Some commision or something? Some s916 that are just laying around (off course that means I would need to buy more skis.....DP 138...mmmmm)

He's gone at the moment too...I could just go and steal them. He'd come home from the desert and find his iggies gone....I think he'd kill someone.
