Binding gurus! What is this drill pattern?

Any idea what binding this ski has been drilled for?

I'm looking to put a Tyrolia FF on there. Anyone foresee any problems? (apart from me snapping the ski in half)

A Salomon 5-screw pattern (like an older high-din binding)? Not sure at all; but pattern on some of my M103s looked a bit like that.

    Definitley Salomon Pattern.

Any of the following will work without redrilling.

    s977/s997/s900/s914/s916/s920

I don't know anything about tyrolias.

I'll try and find a template online and do a comparison.

My Spatulas were mounted with the Tyrolia FFs. I snapped one ski and I'm getting the ski pictured above as a replacement, so I have one Spatula still mounted with a Tyrolia and want to put the other Tyrolia binding on the ski above.

I have a pair of Salomon S900s in a box that I'll stick on my Nordicas.

    I second that. 100% sure.
Any Salomon from late 80´s except quadrax based beginner bindings will fit.

High din Tyrolias work good if you set them up right, but I think they handle worn boot soles bad and I also allways go at least 2 units up the DIN scale when switching from Salomon to Tyrolia. I wouldn´t choose anything from Tyrolia with a max setting under 15. I keep my Salomons (997 Eq:s) on 10,5 and have never had any problems with prerelease. Lower DIN Tyrolias at 10,5 I can´t ski. They just fail totally when things get rough. I tried some Wateas mounted with demo FR13 set at DIN 10 earlier this winter on rock solid hardpack with some bumpy areas. Unskiable. The ski released three times the first run and I could feel the binding collapse several times in the toe when pushing the ski. I screwed it up to 13 and had no more problems, but didn´t dare to really go for it anymore as my ass allready was blue after the three first falls.

Forward pressure was set by a certified Fischer tech by the way and I talked to him afterwards and asked if it really was done right and told him that I thought that the binding sucked. He checked the ski and said:

"Yes, it´s perfectly adjusted and 10 should be enugh for you. But to be honest, I know what you mean. This is a shit bindning for good skiers. I would never dare do ski it at full speed, but most of the customers never push their gear to that level and for them this binding is a good choice. Unfortunately we don´t have higher din demo bindings"

Ofcourse you could say that it´s a "low din binding only going up to 13", but it is not THAT low. I normally never ski on din 13 and at a everyday setting of 10,5 I should actually be just in the target group for this model. They are in the same market level as the Salomon 914, and the 914:s are as I see it far superior. And the 914 isn´t good at all with the cheap Spheric wiggle, self adjusting wings and wobbly plastic wrap-around heel piece hold so it´s no good grade for the Tyrolias.

Luckily I just scored three pairs of almost new 997:s for next to nothing. That will keep me afloat for a while.

My Tyrolias are the Free Flex Plus DX10 with a DIN of 9-18. I've never had any problems with them at all. My only minor grumble would be that the heel cup isn't the easiest to engage in deep snow but it only takes one or two seconds worth of locating.

Just off the top of my head, you should be good for screw holes. The boot sole length etc. may cause a problem but otherwise I don't remember any hole line up issues. As for the Tyrolia it will be fine that (as you know) is a solid binding. Have fun Spatulating once again I hope you enjoy these for at least 4 more days.
Move along nothing to see here.

Boot sole's right around 315mm right?

Good to see you got the other free one from Atomic. Did yours come with a totally sweet Grateful Dead decal or was I the only lucky one?
