I tried on some of the new Crispi XR's and was really impressed by them. No more toe pinch like the old CXR's and they felt really stiff laterally. Conundrum, did your bellows break in and soften any after use?

I'm in a big dilemma right now because my Ener-G's have about 400+ days in them and need to be replaced in the worst way (holes through the bellows, JB Weld, etc).

But having one boot that could go into my Naxo 21's (or alpine for that matter) and the NTN tele bindings is almost worth waiting for. Was anyone here @ the show or have any idea when the NTN boots will start being available next winter? Those NTN Crispi XR'ish boots look nice. I curious if the boot manufactures will change the bellow stiffness for the NTN boots since the binding separates pre-load from boot retention?

I'm in the market for new boots myself, and the XRs look nice. I'd love to wait for NTN, but all I've heard says not in North America until 07-08. Even then, I don't know if I'm going to like 'em. I think I'll just throw in the towel, buy now, and get basically two seasons of use out of some new boots before NTN.

The first day I skied with them it felt like I was teleing with some F1s. After five days or so, the bellows softened dramatically and feel great. The bellows are still stiffer than an EnerG though. One thing, if you do end up with XRs, wear something thick over your toes when you bake the liners.

This is a small point but I like the translucent shell too. When I pull the liners out to dry, I can see when the condensation is gone in the shell.

These boots also have two forward leans.

The new TRace (ugly white-red thing) was bruly indeed, but the funny thing was that when compared to the new T1's, the T1's felt stiffer. But then again I didn't get to ski these, just hadnflexed 'em at an undisclosed parking-lot.

The great thing was that both seemed really light (lighter than my thermoed CXR's, haven't had the option to fiddle with XR's so can't compare agains that boot).

Now feeling a bit bummed, that Scarpa's kill my feet in minutes when skied... Guess I'll have to get XR's as I seem to have Crispi feet, or mebbe I'll just suck it and wait until the NTN has been around sometime...
