I can't stop thinking about skiing.

I know I should be daydreaming about sex or money or something like that, but I just can't stop thinking about the last 5 days. Once those gates drop at Basin it's going to be unreal. We skied past the hog yesterday and the landing area was actually a couple of feet higher than the edge of the cat track. We hucked any and everything that we could get to (even hiked to a few things we shouldn't have and got yelled at). I'm so jealous of what I know will be going down soon. I'm here at work all by myself getting some artwork done for a monday morning meeting, but my head is completely out of the game. My feet are a wreck, my shins are many colors, the scabs on my face are starting to peel. I so wish I was back on the hill today. Yesterday was day 16. 8 of those days were in UT and all 8 were killer pow days. Getting video ready to post takes so much longer than tossing up pics. Sorry if this post is incoherent. My mind just keeps jumping from thought to thought. If you haven't been in UT during this storm and there's any way you can get there....go. Once those gates drop...anything and everything is huckable. There is soooo much snow.

Don't worry it will be allot easier to forget about skiing once you get back to CO.

I know you don't want to hear it but basin went off again today. No name opened up and after a short hike I had an amazing run down. Strawberry opened and there was goods all over. Went up with Lumpy, Macdaddy and friend and tried to give them a good overview of the goods, and it was good!

On an unrelated note, I ran into Rob Holmes at the plaza and chatted for a minute. He said to burn as many copies of addiction as we wanted and distibute however, I still think it'd be cool for him to get some kind of kick back. Super nice guy, I took a couple of runs with him 2-3 weeks ago and he came right up to me this morning, called me by name and asked if wanted to join him.

flyk, No name opened a couple of days ago as well. Good stuff fo sho. Once the MB cirque and Mt Ogden Bowl open the weirdos will go crazy. The top of the sisters will be nuts too. I can see them waiting though. I can see stuff sliding really easily right now.

Rob is a very cool guy. Helped me find my ski last year after I lost it on the hog and he was the first to reach phUnk after the double back insanity. I think if that guy wanted to market himself like other pros have he would be huge.

Bill, I don't think you can go wrong anywhere out there right now. I just have things I like up there and things I've been eyeing for sometime that are now doable due to this ridiculous snow.

board, I think I'm just going to have to play BC booter monkey or park monkey when in CO.

If I didn't have friends coming into town I'd be back in the truck in about 15mins. As usual, an great time skiing with you. The Meats family is as solid as any you'll find.

Heh, it's funny you should mention that MD9. I had to leave in the middle of it all and have been reading about it all week, kicking my own ass for leaving so soon. Not to mention the Hog just wet my appetite for going big.

    Remedy?

Head to Mammoth tommorrow and hopefully more snow and 3 days of skiing. The rat must be fed.

foggy, thanks man. Yeah if I could defer my obligations any longer I wouldn't have left. Hell if I got all my work done today and the Mrs had some time off I'd be headed back out as well.

CS, I have feeling that reading all the reports over the next week will be rough. I agree about the hog making one hungry for more. There are so many bigger cliffs up top I was hoping to could get to by staying later. Oh well. Have fun in Mammoth. I hope that UT storm hits us in CO soon.

We could be up for it. The wife doesn't get out of work until 10:00, but after we're free.

Including that line below the tram that I will now dub The Point of Death. J$ was scoping this one thingy that looks simliar to jumping out a 10 story building and landing on a 20foot by 20foot quarter pipe. After the exploits of the last week, I'm not gonna say anything is unpossible.

That thing would've been completely insane. It would probably take a moving truck to get enough snow out on that point to make a lip. Standing on the end of it to pack said lip would probably give me a heart attack (especially in those winds).

Not quite as deep and light as last Sat...but very schweet fo sure. Just looking at Holmes, I wouldn't fock with the guy. He's one of those fireplug stocky critters with a wandering crazy eye, who when mad could be a handfull (watch addiction for confirmation). Great day with flyk, MacD, and buddy Keets...next time up its beers in the Shooting Star.

Well, its snowing again in Ogden. Thinking that Friday will be a sick affair again.

But, tonight I've got whipped cream bikini at midnight to consume...
