    Krypton question...

    Hi.

I got a new pair of Dalbello Krypton Pro.. I've been trying to figuer out all the different settings. It's one thing I don't get. How do I adjust the lenght of the midfoot buckle cable?? I've been having problems straping this standing up and I like to make it easier by making it longer. It says in the owners manual it's doable, but how? I just don't get it and it have been driving me crazy trying to figure it out..

    Anyone knows how?

    Thanks...

    /Hugo

I never adjusted the cable length itself, but of you unscrew the buckles there are three holes available to move it tighter or looser. 2 won't be punched, but you just have to make the hole where it's marked and re-attach the buckle.
Sorry if this isn't very clear, but if you unscrew the buckle it should be pretty obvious.

It's kind of difficult to get to as it's between the cuff and base of the shell. Just spread them apart and you'll see.

I haven't played with the Rampages, but I assume it's the same.

Obviously, changing the tongues will give different flexes, but neither the Rampage nor the Cross comes with this option.

I'm guessing the Rampages come with similar shims to the Cross, in which case, put the shim of your choice (the thicker the stiffer) between the cuff and base sheel just above the heel and the corresponding insert into the boot behind the ankle.

That probably makes no sense, but you know how to find me if you have other questions Mr. K.

There are kits that have stiffener in them for the Crosses. I used one to stiffen my boots. Go back to the shop and asked for a the kit. Have them show you how to put it in.

The kit looks like it is suppose to come w/ the boot. I walked out the shop w/ my boots only (no box or kit). The shop gave it to me free when I asked if the boot could be stiffened.

Easiest thing is to take the hinge screws out and open the cuff that way.
