End of Movie Tunes
Three come to mind:
1. Mad World in Donnie Darko. Beautifully haunting song in a strangely compelling movie.
2. Change Your Heart (Beck version) in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Perfect closer. Brings with it the full force of the film.
3. Hallelujah (Jeff Buckley version) in the Edukaters. A mediocre film totally turned around by the inclusion of this tune at the end. Left me liking the film a lot more than I really did.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and music makes the movie),
d.
"Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward."
- Kurt Vonnegut
