I keep seeing the wall as a table top, and those look like 2 fancy toothpicks.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    They're fancy chopsticks, not toothpicks.

XC skis with a javelin tip and tapered tail have been around for forever. Those kids skis just have a fatter waist to hlep them balance. Shane got the idea from surfing and waterskis.

Those aren't kids skis, unless the kid is less than about 8 inches tall.

I think those skis are bigger then they appear, those planks under them, appear to me as large half round logs, or full thinkness planks.... I bet they are 90cm. Which sounds like a childrens ski to me.

Obviously you guys don't read Russian. The big labels clearly say "Reverse" and "Sidecut", while the little ones down on the tails say "Mother" "fucker". That 90 is the waist width, it's just in obscure Russian units that equates to 130mm.

    Geez.

I started riding the POCCNN 90 back in '82 up in the Urals and they kicked some communist heiny!

Actually, they read "SKI TRACK" or "SKI COURSE" and "RUSSIA" respectively. I think the writing on the tails might be Finnish.

the shot is taken on a wall (notice the nails) but they are a children's xc ski (90cm length). the words near the tail are not in russian, definitely.

they were hung as trophys in a bulgarian mountain hut, along with old communist police uniforms and pictures of the favoured party leaders at the time. i didn't take the shot, just thought it funny enough to post.
