Official 05-06 Front Range Roll Call/Transit Thread (if that's cool...)

Particularly for Boulderites. I looked at the ski bus website, and apparently it goes only to Breck and Keystone, never to the Basin (which is where I like to ski). Thus I will probably rely on maggots for rides. And I just like to make turns with maggots.

So I propose we keep this thread instead of posting new ones each week. Or someone else can start one. Anyway... who's going to the Basin this weekend?

    Must be nice...

Classes 5 days a week do not make me overjoyed by any measure.

But it will be Eldo on Wed and Fri afternoons.

It might be a pain in the ass, but have you considered the Summit Stage once you are to Keystone (after using the Ski Bus):
    http://www.co.summit.co.us/summitstage/index.htm
    "Arapahoe Basin Shuttle
Connections between Stage service and the Arapahoe Basin Shuttle can be made at the Keystone Mountain House. For schedule, route, and stop information contact Keystone Transportation at (970) 496-4200."
    The only prescription...is more cowbell.

You should probably put this in the "Hook Up" forums before someone else tells you in a not-so-nice way.

Stage will take you to A-Basin, Copper, Breck...
In years past they have a bus that goes to Vail once a day...

Shit, that's right. I forgot that was how I got there the first time I skied the Basin.

If somebody gets pissed, I'll take this thread down.

Where shall the gittin' be dun, phish? The Beach, I would assume... Nice 4:30 am post.

I think this thread is a good idea. Fuck what everyone else says, Max.

People throw up threads about their local weather that is just cut and pasted from NOAA.

No one looks in the hook up forum anyway. Hell, I've posted there many times and rarely ever get a response, or maybe no one likes me.

I'll give you a ride to Abasin if you need one. That's if you can make it down to Denver. Don't think I'll he going this weekend though.

Edit: earliest I can be at Market St. Station is 7 am on sundays, 6 am on saturdays. Wouldn't work for pow days, I don't think (maybe saturday), but every other day would be great. Thanks, BZ.

    By the way,

Bump. Desperate for a ride tomorrow. No sexual favors. Will go to Denver early morning if necessary. If possible, need a ride to silverthorne after skiing. The more hours of turns, the better.

Anyone interested in some benevolence and a few bucks, shoot me a pm, and I shall sing your praises.

And just think: you only have to put up with these threads for another week. After that, the eldo bus runs!!!

    hey max-

Just a little something for you to shoot for, when I was at CU beginning my 2nd semester and going all the way through my undergrad I was able to attend classes only Tues-Thurs with occasional labs and stuff on the other days, this is a seriously ruling schedule and not difficult to do at all.

No help on a ride. No skiing till it no sucking.

It's actually really hard to do especially when you get into upper level classes which are only available 1 time a week. That said, I was lucky and had one winter semester with T and TR only and then next winter I had TWTR only. The main reason I could do it was because I had education classes which met only 1 day a week. My final semester, I even petitioned to allow a certain course to count for my major which was not in the normal requirements - the reason being it met only one day a week. If you don't plan well starting first semester it is tough to get a good schedule.... of course if you don't mind spending 5, 6, 7, years in college it could be quite easy.

Max, it is pretty easy to hitchhike on Broadway. Just stand at a light that has somewhere to pull over. I did it once last year and I was picked up within 10 minutes.

mebbe I was just extremely lucky or good looking cause it worked pretty smoothly for me every time (couldn't do it for my final two semesters for my MS though) and don't be hating on those that spent 5 years .... to get two degrees...

Can we agree that Max should really try to get this schedule while admitting that it may not be possible? I'm tired of fighting and if you piss me off I'll be waking you up at approximately 2:30 when I pick foggy up on Sunday.
