    Identifying Look/ Rossi jig

    Shopmeisters, need your help...

Will the jig for the low-end Look/Rossi binding (Look Nova, Rossi Saphir) work on the Pivot/Axial line of bindings? -- are they the same hole pattern on the heels? The toe pieces look identical, it's the heels that I'm concerned about, and I don't have a low-end Look/Rossi binding to compare.

This year's look and rossi's (PX for looks), have the same hole pattern as a lower end, step-in from the past few seasons. If you have a look/rossi from last season or before (axial/pivot) you will need an axial/pivot jig. The step in (low-end) heel has the front two holes about 4.5 inches or so apart from the back. The axial/pivot holes are about half as far apart.

Thanks bossass -- damn, thought I'd found an Axial/Pivot jig for super cheap. Seller says it fits the Rossi fdx95 binding; a quick google search reveals that to look like the low-end Look/Rossi stuff -- in other words, not compatible with the Pivot/Axial binders that I like.

Yup. FDX is a low end step in heel. Hold on to that jig for a few years though and you'll be able to mount everyone's looks and rossis.

The Look/Rossi jig that you found cheap will mount the P18 and FKS binders though

Turns out I bought it... I'd placed an ebay bid for the jig before getting the info here on whether it would work for Pivot/Axial bindings. Here's what I got:

I think the toepiece holes should be the same as on the Pivot bindings, it'll just be the rear holes that'll be off (acc. to bossass). I'm going to compare the jig to the extra set of Pivot bindings I have to see if any of the heelpiece holes line up -- if so, then at least I have a partial jig, and can freehand the other holes on the heelpieces.

Looks like you have the "Adult" template. As you said Toe may work.
Does not look like the heel is right for Axial.
