Wednesday Dawn Patrol?
Calling for 1-2 tonight, 6-10 tomorrow, 6-12 tomorrow night. Could be enough to do some reasonable skiing on the grass covered slopes. I've got class at 9:40 Wednesday morning...

I am going up this afternoon to poke around on the skins.
I work tomorrow at 7am, but it doesn't get light until then. So if I go, it will be a night patrol.

Gramps,
Where are you getting your forecast? The UAC and other sites show it tapering off by this afternoon.

From alta's webcam it looks like the forecast was a little overhyped. Hopefully that 11" comes today, but it looks like a little frost maybe an inch, if anything.

When I used to live in Bozeman, we would twitch to climb ice this time of year. I would drive up Hyalite Canyon and swing tools into 1" of ice and break pics and climb stuff without pro, just to get a fix. Usually after three trips up Hyalite, we would be climbing legit ice.
That said, I'm driving up to Alta this afternoon just to waste fossil fuels and to put in my first of three attempts, similar to Hyalite.
Web cams take all the fun out of it. We didn't have webcams in Hyalite, nor did we have internet.

dune skiing would probably be more fun at this point in the game"... she'll never need a doctor; 'cause I check her out all day"

Actually dune skiing sounds about perfect right now. With a bit of moisture and cool temps sand gets nice and slickety.
