    6Mil is about 2 percent of the population over the age of 18. Another 1-5% minimum will be added over the the next year is my guess.

    As Morris said, his estimates would make Kings Day protests the second largest - possibly largest- single day protest in US history. (2017 Women's March had an estimated 3.3-5.6 million.)

    It was a big protest!

    Details on the phone itself are sketchy. The product page includes what appears to be a Photoshopped image of a brushed gold phone with a
    "T1" logo and US flag on the back. The triple camera layout appears similar to recent iPhone Pro models at first glance, but the lenses are strangely spaced, and there doesn't appear to be any camera flash.
    There are numerous errors on the page, from a processor section that doesn't list a processor, RAM that's described as storage, and the boast of a "5000mAh long life camera," when it presumably means the battery.

    You can tell how awful this weekend was for Trump by looking at this sickening post by Ashley Hinson, our local maga representative. Always revert to red meat for the base. Hate sells, or at least is used to, no matter how disgusting.

    By awful I am including the super embarrassing parade, the unraveling of any semblance of stability in the Middle East because he tore up the Iran deal and his incoherent foreign policy, and the large pro democracy American flag waving patriotic anti kings rally.

    Not a peep about the political killings in Minnesota. Hits close to home for this constituent of hers since I once lived and owned a home in Champlin. Crickets. Just pride in her child's blooming intolerance.

    10 U.S.C. § 12406 – Invasion, Rebellion, or Obstruction of Law
    This authorizes the President to activate the Guard if federal law is obstructed—as it clearly was in Los Angeles. Rioters targeted ICE agents. Local leaders refused to intervene. Enforcement was physically blocked.

    The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C. §§ 251-255)
    Used by presidents from Jefferson to Eisenhower to George H.W. Bush, this law allows the use of federal troops and the National Guard to suppress insurrection, enforce federal law, and restore public order—even over state objection. Eisenhower invoked it in 1957 to enforce school desegregation in Arkansas. Bush used it in 1992 during the Los Angeles riots, federalizing California Guard units and deploying active-duty forces after local authorities lost control.

    If the violence continues, President Trump has the legal authority to go further. Under 10 U.S.C. § 252 (Insurrection Act), he can use “such of the militia and the armed forces… to suppress the insurrection” when local officials cannot—or will not—do so. And if California’s political leadership refuses federal orders, more units can be nationalized under § 12406, removing command from Sacramento entirely.

    seems you left nuts still have a ways to go as far as going batty on what the president has constitutional rights to do. i sincerely hope you do that, it is quite entertaining watching you guys go totally nuts and be completely wrong at the same time.

    Keep reading asshole:

    Breyer then reads from 10 U.S. Code § 12406:

    “Orders for these purposes shall be issued through the governors of the States.”

    He emphasizes:

    "It says ‘shall.’ Not 'may.' Not 'might.'"

    Quote- At this early stage of the proceedings, the Court must determine whether the President followed the congressionally mandated procedure for his actions. He did not.
    His actions were illegal both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith.

    Same-same. Moving is a very distant improbable possibility right now. But some odd warning signs are here now so why not do a bit of paperwork in my free time?

    Nice informative post ski cougar. The first three paragraphs were great.

    Then in the fourth you gave us all a very good example of why good people don’t care for trumpers in the least.

    Well done on all accounts.

    WTF! First off isn’t she director of national intelligence. If they think there’s something illegal it would be the DOJ or FBI. Then there’s the basic fact that first amendment protections applies to money for political activities. according to the Supreme Court. When idiots elect idiot an expect more idiots.

    actual text j barron not breyers impression:

    10 U.S. Code § 12406 outlines the circumstances under which the President can call the National Guard into federal service. Specifically, this can occur during an invasion or danger of invasion, rebellion or danger of rebellion, or when the President needs the National Guard to execute the laws of the United States. The President can specify the period of service, and members can be required to serve both inside and outside the United States during that time.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    Circumstances for Calling the National Guard:
    The President can federalize the National Guard in three situations:

    Invasion or Threatened Invasion: If the US, or any of its territories, is invaded or in danger of invasion by a foreign nation.

    Rebellion or Threatened Rebellion: If there is a rebellion or threat of rebellion against the US government.
    Executing Federal Laws: If the President is unable to execute the laws of the United States with regular forces

    looks like the president is fine when executing federal law as immigration is

    Tulsis goal is probably to imply that the King marchers are Soros-funded or some other billionare (ironic, no?) and it was not a real protest or movement against her King Trump. The fact our government is manipulatively trying to discredit Americans free speech and contrarian opinions (in this case and in many other cases under Trump) is sadly exactly what Russia does in their country. Its not about starting an investigation in order to uphold the law, for Tulsi, its an investigation to create propoganda for conservatives.

    Dude, actually read the FULL TEXT;
    https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?...0&edition=2023
    12406. National Guard in Federal service: call

    Whenever-

    (1) the United States, or any of the Commonwealths or possessions, is invaded or is in danger of invasion by a foreign nation;

    (2) there is a rebellion or danger of a rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States; or

    (3) the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States;

    the President may call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard of any State in such numbers as he considers necessary to repel the invasion, suppress the rebellion, or execute those laws. Orders for these purposes shall be issued through the governors of the States or, in the case of the District of Columbia, through the commanding general of the National Guard of the District of Columbia

    In case you missed it, I will repeat it for you:

    Orders for these purposes shall be issued through the governors of the States or, in the case of the District of Columbia, through the commanding general of the National Guard of the District of Columbia
