    RIP Brian Wilson

I wasn't a big BB fan--too vanilla--but Good Vibrations is a great song. There's a lot more to his music than what I heard on the radio--I should listen to some of it. Tough life.

Pet Sounds was/is the work of a genius. A troubled genius, but none the less. And I like or love a lot of his, and The Beach Boys’, work.

Oh man. RIP to a beautiful musician and composer. Watch that documentary on the making of Pet Sounds, it’s incredible. Just everything that went into the fist few bars of God Only Knows is amazing.

Mind boggling the musical genius he was. Glad he got some years after the stint under the spell of that quack

I sort of dismissed the Beach Boys when I was young, I was looking for something else musically back then. Im glad I took the time later to actually listen. RIP. Sly, Brian, and...?

BRIAN Wilson tells the story of how Don Henley once came backstage after a concert. The Eagles co-founder arrived clutching his copy of Pet Sounds, the Beach Boys' classic 1966 album, and told Wilson how much their music had inspired him when he was younger.

Keen to have Wilson autograph the album, he watched as Wilson picked up a Sharpie and wrote: "To Don - thanks for all the great songs." Henley turned to leave but Wilson called him back and, grabbing the record, crossed out "great" and replaced it with "good"

In my room is still one of my favorites, and Pet Sounds is a top 10 album forever.

Pet Sounds inspired the Beatles who inspired.... everyone. Wow shitty week for influential music genii. First Sly and now this. Damn, if there's a band in the great hereafter they've gotten better this week. Yeah, there's not. So, rock on bitches.

Dennis Wilson was the only actual surfer but imagine how crowded things would be if everyone in L.A. surfed or skated, Wilson had association to the Manson Family those were wierd times

Glad I went to see Brian on the last tour he did.
He had such a great attitude at the show, seemed to be having such a good time. Finished with “Love and Mercy”.

The chords in good vibrations are haunting, unusual and spectacular. You only get those if you hear them in your head first.

    RIP Brian Wilson

I was watching an Instagram than went through all the key progressions in Good Vibrations and there are FOURTEEN. Plus tempo changes. Insane. For such a catchy too, it is an insanely complex song. Wilson was a musical genius on par with any other in history

I think I saw that same clip. It's crazy how complex and groundbreaking that song is when to my untrained ear it sounds relatively straightforward.
