Where to sell bike parts online?

Ive been off line for over 6 weeks on a winter work project and fawk this site has gone to the shit. Im suprised that Im able to log in and refresh without an error. I finally got my shit togther to sell a ton of my bike parts, but dont think it will get the traction here, or even allow me to post photos or get messages. I will try to list here if it lets me. Where should I sell? I dont want FB market place and advetise locally I have $100k worth of bikes behind a $50 garage door. Pinkbike, Craiglist, Escape Collective classified? If anybody needs anythig specific reach out.

Lets see if this will post.... Cant hurt throwing it up here but Id leave contact info so people dont have to use DM in case they cant log back in. Pinkbike and CL are still my go-to but not worth it for small stuff. It usually takes a while but I havent been getting lowballs or scams, and when someone eventually bites it usually goes smoothly. Sounds like ebay has too many scams these days. Im not on FB but people do still use FB marketplace. At least with that you can meet up in person. That's why I like CL. No risk of scams that way. The ad can sit there for as long as it needs to.

Yeah, I still have the most luck selling things on Pinkbike. Depending on where you're located, you could also list in specific "MTB Shit for Sale" groups on Facebook, which I've had a bit of success with as well. To be honest, I list all my bikes and bigger parts (forks, wheels, etc) on FB Marketplace and then just meet somewhere close to my house. You'll get the occasional idiot asking you if your item is still available, but it's worth the effort IMO.

I've had good luck with Pinkbike, i feel the young kids wanting to trade PS4's for 5k bikes are gone ( or are now 40 like me). Here is good obviously but with the forum issues its been a real fucking pain. I don't have FB but my better half does and i'll post stuff there... sometimes you get a pretty funny reaction when i show up as opposed to her, haha.

I sell about 90% of my stuff through PB. I get a handful of bites on small stuff that I'm practically giving away advertised on local Strava group. I've had some luck selling stuff here too before the site hopped in a time machine back to 1993.

Ebay may not be the best overall marketplace, but it just works for me. If you get into a groove of taking photos and listing items--which is made easy now by being able to draft the listings on your computer and then immediately shoot photos on your phone--you can list a pile of stuff pretty quick. It is pretty good about filling in auction info for you based on item name, and you can just copy paste the bullet point specs off the manufacturer website.

Then you have two options. For shit you just want GONE, run it as a 7 or 10 day auction with a low starting bid. Except for esoteric stuff that needs to find the right buyer, you will be boxing that stuff up and getting it out of your house next week.

For stuff where you want a certain amount of money for it, just make fixed Buy It Now price listings and let it sit. Make sure you gave yourself enough handling time that you don't have to worry about getting stuff in the mail ASAP.

You rarely get many questions about items, nobody asks if it is still available, and on the BIN items you don't get non-payers. Just box it up on your own time and it is gone. I really haven't run into scammer issues. Change your shipping settings so that you get to keep the volume discount (cover your packaging and time). Pay for insurance if you're worried and if they try to pull some shit. Some preference for shipping via USPS Priority Mail just because if anyone tries to scam you, you can threaten to pass their complaint to the postal inspector as scamming over USPS is a federal felony and postal inspectors care.
