If in fact they are going to let it go, I wish they would contact those of you who have offered to purchase the database ( I would contribute to that effort ). twenty years and more is an effort worth preserving. Thank you, my friends. skiJ

I sent this. Feel free to copy.

    Hi TGR Team,

Longtime customer and forum user here: I wanted to reach out because the forums have been essentially unusable for some time. Traffic is dying off and it's really disheartening for a community that has been going strong for over 22 years.

Time is short to save the community one way or the other.

We love TGR and the forums, and many loyal mags would gladly chip in to help to keep the forums alive. If you’re not planning to fix them promptly, we respectfully ask that you consider allowing the community to migrate the database to a new site, rather than letting this rich archive of stories, knowledge, and stoke disappear.

Please don’t let the lights fade out on something that has meant so much to so many for so long.

    Thanks for everything,

I emailed earlier this afternoon and got a VERY fast and informative response that shows they are working on it and still care:

"Summit, thanks for reaching out, and thanks for being a loyal forums user. We have been dealing with quite a few forums issues over the last year plus, and have been doing what we can to keep it going - but we know that the aging tech has caused for a serious decline in user experience.

We are dealing with a significant server issue this week and last and it will be another 5-7 days before that is fixed. That will help a bit, but we know it isn’t the full answer.

The good news is that we started a replatforming process a few weeks back that will dramatically improve the experience, but the bad news is that it will take us until August to have the new experience up and running.

I hope we can keep you in the mix until then, and please do spread the word. Reach back if you have any other questions or concerns.

And again, thanks for being with TGR so long and we hope the new platform stokes you out come this fall.

You should take his name out of this post. Don’t want some beater like byates to dox him.
Also, stokes you out, is that something the kids are saying these days. If so, it’s lame.

They said they were going to fix bodybuilding.com forums before they closed it too... They were far more active.
