If we go to a new forum/fresh start, I do think it’d be a really good idea to make some “brand specific threads” which sort of exist now but are scattered and disjointed. Phil is Doing a decent job of this on SkiTalk with yearly binding and ski threads for different brands, but I don’t think doing a new thread every year is necessary

    “Salomon Skis Mega Thread”
    “ON3P Skis Mega Thread”
    “Look/Rossignol Binding Thread”
    “Binding Mounting and Adjustment Thread”

    Etc

Instead of a million individual ski and brand threads and question threads popping up.

Man I can only sporadically even gets page to open. Usually times out to some Bad Gateway page.
Anyway… I could not find the Facebook group - the powder zone? Could be user error. Just an occasional lurker on a few bc groups there.

Sad truth here... Wishing all this lore, stoke, and knowledge does not disappear.

Hey the forum is actually working today, exciting! I sent email to TGR customer service and here's what they said. Ill be optimistic, sounds promising!--------We have been dealing with quite a few forums issues over the last year plus, and have been doing what we can to keep it going - but we know that the aging tech has caused for a serious decline in user experience. We are dealing with a significant server issue this week and last and it will be another 5-7 days before that is fixed. That will help a bit, but we know it isn’t the full answer. The good news is that we started a replatforming process a few weeks back that will dramatically improve the experience, but the bad news is that it will take us until August to have the new experience up and running.I hope we can keep you in the mix until then, and please do spread the word. Reach back if you have any other questions or concerns. And again, thanks for being with TGR so long and we hope the new platform stokes you out come this fall.

That is good to hear. Why stop wasting a little time here after 20 years?

Wow I got in here! Do you all (or any of you) get a 502 Bad Gateway message? I usually now time out and get that page. I’ve almost given up on tgr

I've given up hope that Tapatalk will ever be workable.
When the issues started and they had the 2 or 3 pinned discussions from TGR themselves saying it would be at least 6 months to fix all the issues, many offered up some $$ (more than just change for a nickel)- $37 as another example) and they have not said that should happen or taken anyone up on their offers.

I started a FB page “Maggot Brains”

    and

I started a new FB page “Backcountry Ski gear swap and tech talk”

    use em if you want
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
