Season Forma: Thoughts?

Hey all! Anyone have thoughts or impressions of the Forma? I know a few of you have skied them. I would like to round out my resort pow skis with something floaty, surfy and fun, but not hate my life on groomers back to the chair. I get along really well with the Line Sakana and suppose I could get on the Pescado, but it is a bit light for resort chop.

Right now I have a Renegade and HL FR120 as pow skis with a Deathwish for not-as-deep days. I adore the Renegade and was hoping the HL would handle resort chop a bit better. It does, but it sacrifices a bit of float and speed in exchange. The HL is also very reverse and you pay a heavy price for that on groomers. Neither the HL or Renegade deal well with moguls as the snow sets/firms up.

I suppose I could go full resort pow ski with the Rosignol Sender Free 118, but I love interesting skis. I did have a Blade Optic 114 in this slot and it was pretty darned good if not a tad boring.

Add another fish? Just skip it and ski the Deathwish? More skis is better right?

I have the Forma in a 183cm and really like it for it's ability to crud bust, ski groomers back to the chair and ski pow. I've had it in Sierra cement, thigh deep blower and everything in between and I think it does well. In deep lighter snow it can feel a little short, it is possible to dive the tips but when it's like that a more neutral stance as opposed to really driving the tips brings the tips right back up. All in all I find it fun and easy to ski. My daily driver is a 186cm Nordica Enforcer 104 Free for reference.

Had the Formas, skied them three times, and sold them. They just didn’t agree with me—they felt hooky to me in anything more than a few inches deep. That said, I do know some folks that absolutely love them….I replaced them with Ghost Trains, which have been great for the three days the powder was deep enough to justify a 123mm wide ski this year
