    What is up with aircraft?

The amount of incidents seems pretty excessive compared to normal.

Maybe aliens messing with us now. I'm pretty sure that's what's going on.

The Trump administration has begun firing several hundred Federal Aviation Administration employees, upending staff on a busy air travel weekend and just weeks after a January fatal midair collision at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Probationary workers were targeted in late-night emails Friday notifying them they had been fired, David Spero, president of the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists union, said in a statement.

The impacted workers include personnel hired for FAA radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance, one air traffic controller told The Associated Press. The air traffic controller was not authorized to talk to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Sean Duffy criticized Mayor Pete? If no more mishaps occur in the next 3.9 years Sean will have a worse record? Did I hear that right?

Gravity seems a bit stronger than usual. At least that was my excuses as I tumbled down the slopes the other day.

Audio suggests the Flexjet pilot messed up. The jet was told to HOLD SHORT of the active runway, which they failed to do. The FlexJet pilot incorrectly repeated initial taxi instructions, prompting ATC to repeat the message. Southwest Airline pilots SAVED THE DAY! Great job going around at the last second!

100% Flexjet screwed up. They screwed up their first readback, got the second one right, and then ignored the hold short instruction that they just read back.

Never a good thing when Air Traffic Control tells you to copy down a number and call them.
