It was down for several days - so my guess is someone did the "unplug it, then plug it back in," but forgot to plug it back in for awhile.

I got a reply from Todd a week ago, but didn't see it, it was in response to my last email.

Are they working any better now? We fixed the server issue and it seems like it is loading better now. Also, we are literally in the process of fixing them, switching servers was part of the process. Now that that is fixed we should be able to hit other bugs, so let me know what is still super bad. The site is super complicated and super out of date so our new developer is sequencing the moves in a way that they see best. We are still targeting mid July for things to switch over and the team is working hard behind the scenes on this. When we get deeper into the forum work, we will want some feedback. Do you have a few people from our group who have the most technical chops in the space that we should engage? Have a good weekend. Thanks, TJ

He is asking about technical people, many of the ones that would I'd think be in the lead for request to have some technical Mags had posted in this thread and offered up some assistance. I'd be one that if needed would consider helping out on the moving and migration. There are others also with various technical knowledge that hopefully would also agree to raise their hand in a transistion.

Here are some fixes for weird formatting (thanks to Full Trucker for teaching me some of this):

To avoid (get rid of) the weird html codes that pop up:

* the quick reply box doesn't add them
* the box that has all the formatting options does add that stuff
* If you post using that box and want to get rid of the stuff, choose "edit post", then in the edit box, click the upper left button that says "source". That will show all the weird formatting and you can delete it there. The "source" button is the way to avoid posting all that crap (it doesn't do anything automagically, but does allow you to delete it all).

If you want to quote someone and find the quote button pulls up a different post:
*double click "reply with quote" button, or
* right click the "reply with quote" button and open in a new tab
