Agreed that Riser makes the argument for a "like" button once again. Going to share this description with my friend who works for the feds, I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
John Mulaney “It’s a horse loose in a hospital”
Meticulous description implies truth/reality. So let’s consider it that.
you see the repudiation of your beliefs in response after response and instead of reexamining the notions you cling to, you insist that
a) the forums are terrible these days because of politics
b) that you’re the REAL victim
c) everything you don’t agree with is fabrication or exaggeration
besides the attacks and taunts to the sovereignty of the country, the half million job losses in ontario alone, and the average hit of making life 2k more expensive per household in Canada, the other numbers are pretty gloomy too:
https://financialpost.com/news/mackl...nomy-trade-war
it’s just so weird that the trade deal was only negotiated a few years ago. it was supposed to be this beautiful thing, at least that’s what the President said at the time. who was that again?
But i’m sure that you and many main character Americans are also super worried. So sorry that the anthem got booed at a sports game, that must be hard.
j'ai des grands instants de lucididididididididi
They do seem awfully butt hurt about that. It's weird because there's something that they used to say about people's feelings. I can't quite remember what it was, something about fondle your feelings or something? Or was it flop around and find out? I don't know, they have so many fun little sayings they like to throw around
I don’t care that our anthem was booed, it’s a terrible song.
Can't have an avalanche without snowflakes.
(Since this is a Canadian thread, "shitalanche, Randy. Shitalanche")
MU: "I don’t care that our anthem was booed, it’s a terrible song".
True story, I went in for my citizen interview a couple of years ago and the lady told me I had to take the test. I say; "what? the website implied I didn't". Well I did, so I proceeded. First question is what is the National Anthem called? I go blank..."Wait a minute let me hum it". So I answer the SSB after a moment and she is like; "Really"? To which I replied; "I never liked that song. I wish it was America the Beautiful". Ya, I aced the rest.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Pull your panties outta your crack. I was agreeing the current admin was a circus per previous posts.
Just think of the tariffs like mandatory tips on Canadians like the did in Bernie’s hometown.

so in a 2 hr phone in with Ian hanomansing on cross country check up almost all the canadians phoning in and said no way, americans phoned in and said sorry
but I think it was a former american congress person pointed out based on population representation the mostly liberal and or NDP 51st state would flood the congress likely with democrats and really phuck up the republicans
Just another one of trumps dumb ass ideas

It’s funny you think that the GOP would give Canadians any voting power vs just making it a territory like PR or Guam etc. But if it’s paper towels you want…
Trump said 51st state but of course no body up here believes anything he sez cuz he is such a wanker so its just a inconsequential point of nothingness

WTF: Trump responding to a question on Mexico and Canada: I look at some of these agreements and I say who would ever sign a thing like this. The tariffs will go forward, yes. We'll make up a lot of territory. Our country will be liquid and rich again.

Uh, "who would ever sign a thing like this" My man, YOU signed this
We will see if trump actuly invokes the tarrifs or finds a reason to put it off
I'm betting in the 11th hr Trump finds a reason to NOT
of course the rest of N.A. is trying to plan business but why should the trump care ?

1% of Americans owe more than $10,000 in medical debt per Kaiser Foundation.
Canadians average $6,000 in medical debt mostly due to dental per HealthCoalition.ca
So apparently Americans are fat and Canadians have teeth like the English?
And Instagram memes are always dumb as shit.
In canada I go to hospitol reception, i give her my medical # , she asks my date of birth and thats it I am in for whatever from ER to surgey so there are no insurance comapies to deal with
According to ski bro an MD will have a # and so they just bill the system directly without intration
SO i don''t know how it would be possible to incur ANY debt in the canadian system ?
dental is not covered but that is changing

Yup we have a dental plan now. When i have a minute im going to sign up for it. Get the chicklets shined up in april is the plan

That $6,000 is from a poll of 3,000 people in the US, Canada, and Australia (so maybe 1,000 from each country?)
The poll asked “have you gone into debt for medical care” - could be that someone did go into debt by putting some dental surgery on Invisalign etc on their credit card but then paid it off.
The poll also included things like gym memberships and chiropractor treatment costs as medical debt.
I’m not saying there is zero medical debt in the Canadian system - but there is no chance the average medical debt is $6,000.
Shit I mean for example a dental implant is like $10,000usd - I don’t think 50% of Canadians have 1) gotten a dental implant done and 2) they all put it on their credit card and since then have only paid the interest

I don’t claim to know the Canadian healthcare system. Ours is quasi broke, hence Luigi being a folk hero. But from what I understand, there exists no perfect system.
