yeah and when the tit for tat tarrifs happen the shit will rain down from the taxpayers so this will be NAFTA 2.0, so from 4 yrs ago Canada already has the file on which industry/ state to fuck over

you might say well trump will fuck up the neighbors to do good things for us against Canada & mexico

but I think he might just fuck it up and so do his advisers

Bolton ( yeah I know you don't like him) brought up example where Trump really dones't know how it works, he doenst know the end user in America pays increased tarrifs

No way anyone would threaten Canada’s sovereignty.

OK but Russia is an non issue to Canada for the foreseeable future. In men and material they are very weakened, they are not really able now to effectively really to do anything to Poland and the Finns even if the US does not live up to its treaty obligations.

China again no real threat to Canada. No one is asking the question if China will use military force or economic force to threaten Canadian sovereignty. Its a non issue. Now the US? Its has stated that it will use economic force to try to force Canada and Canadians to bend the knee and be assimilated. Those are the words that are being used. The last time the US was planning to invade Canada in the 1930s nothing was that open. Maybe its all a joke but it is possible with the power that a US President has. If any of this works , using the overreaching power that the US has over allies to make the kowtow to every US demand future US administrations will use this power as the US people will know it works and demand it.

So I don't need to renew my passport to go to Fernie this year, since Trudeau is handing the territory over to the Trump regime? Cool.

Awesome. Those delicacies will fit right in with great American North Country food traditions like lutefisk, cured turkey gizards, pickled eggs, and homemade horseradish

Non-issue? Maybe a non-issue only if Canadians don't care about Russian and Chinese plans for Canada's Arctic:

the biggest threat to Canada is and has always has been America

Canada should buy Ricky, Julian and Bubbles a case of beer ( back east a case is 24 eh ) and send them to Washington to burn congress which Trump almost did 4 yrs ago
    =
on the CBC a talking head is bringing up the burning of the whitehouse back in 1814 but I think that news cycle is almost done

Has anybody asked the generals how they feel about becoming war criminals in service to Trump's syphilitic delusions?

My uncle is Danish. He makes the best damn potatoes I've ever eaten. And you left out Danish pastries.

I'm wondering when Canada imposes visa restriction on Americans and charge them a few hundred Loonies to get into our Northern neighbor.

Yes those are threats but the threat from the US is immediate and powerful. If Trump goes through with his econ blackmail then Canada will not have to money to counter these other threats which are not immediate but more med to long term.

yeah so Canada doesnt really have to do anything becuz the USA is there so its like having a tough big brother except we really don't admire our big brother all that much

Maybe if Canada were a nation of whacko nutjob religious/ conservative types or a shithole country ( trumps words) being part of America would be appealing but almost all Canadians give it a pass

It's been years since I've been inside, but IIRC they had chips, candy bars, "pop" in Canadian parlance, and boat stuff like bags of ice, oil, etc. The space for customers is relatively tiny compared to the size of the barge.
