Imo Canadians aren't anti-immigrant. They're becoming anti immigration. That's a big difference (And the shoddiness of the immigration system is a large contributor to that.)

I finally figured out a 5-D chess scenario for all this:

The world is running out of fresh water.

The Greenland ice sheet holds a massive portion of the world’s fresh water. We need to get that away from the Danes now so that it’s not claimed in the upcoming Water Wars by The Nestle zone.

We actually like Canada, so we’re offering to take you into the fold to share our water, and also so we can deploy military up there to defend our Greenland water supply.

With our highly defended Amerocanadian border stopping all those bad boats from being up north, they’ll all be forced through our newly re-acquired Panama Canal, which Trump will rename Love Canal as a gesture of goodwill, where they can be pillaged and or seized. Seizing the canal also protects us from a potential land invasion by Brazil or Argentina.

The only way to make this preemptive strike in the Water Wars without alerting our enemies is to act like it’s just the dementia-driven ramblings of some orange-faced idiot.

The sad thing is that Trump is first and foremost a con man. This is just sleight of hand. Look at the funny stuff I am doing (which if it actually comes about, I get all the credit). But don’t look at my other hand fleecing the marks. Removal of rights - first of women and people not of his chosen kind. Removal of opportunity and service, cause those funds should be diverted to me and mine. Etc etc.
He’s putting on a show, and it’s not for the benefit of us Canucks. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad.
