Adding the Canadian voters sure would mean that Republicans would never win the POTUS again, and the senate would be locked Blue with 20 new senators(2 per province/state). Hell even if they only gave Canadafornia 2 senators it’d tip the scales.

Warming to this idea

And stockwell day. What a douche. Pooty mightve got the bare chest publicity idea from him.
I wish i had've kept my ab plate/insurance. I did for several years. Go over to the rockies every spring, after revy/pass was cooked, to the spring bigline hunt w the banff/canmore posse and renew insurance/registration for half price. Savings more than paid for the trip

Is there history for these fights? Or, just part of the show to give the fans what they want (and hype up the border controversy).

@Seano - they did (boo the national anthem) - both last night (against Finland) and tonight

And @iowagriz, no these kind of fights are rare in an exhibition tournament. It appears that the Tkachuk brothers (Americans) started both of them. Which they are prone to do

@Seano Right before the game started my wife looked at me and said "I'm cheering for Canada. We don't deserve to win anything as a country right now."

I didn't disagree.

Ha, true. For me, it's nice to back a winning team after supporting the Utah Hockey Shlubs all season.

Did they at least pummel marchand into oblivion? They would be forgiven in my books if they did that.

Brady Thachuk got a nice swing in while on the boards in front of Canada's bench - punched Marchand who was on the bench. Hopefully 2027 after the Olympics they do an 8 Nation Tournament. First period last night was intense!

McAvoy nailed mcjesus twice. Loved the time Crosby got put down behind the net and the followup crosscheck to keep him down.
Great game. I'm as pissed about the bullshit orange shit gibbon as anyone, but go team USA! What a great game!

OK this is different - the head of the Canadian Navy in a leading Canadian paper ( art on procurement of 12 subs)
"Plus, he noted, Canada’s closest ally, the United States, has become mercurial.U.S. President Donald Trump has disrupted decades of stable relations with Canada by repeatedly proposing to annex it. Mr. Trump has also persistently complained about Canada’s level of defence spending and said the Canadian government needs to shoulder more of the burden of defending itself.
“I would say absolutely right now, when our closest ally has proved to be unpredictable and potentially unreliable, I think we need to be able to make sure that we have the final and definitive deterrent in Canadian waters,” Vice-Adm. Topshee said"

I can't imagine that being said any time in the last 90 years.
Mrs. Dougw- "I can see how one of your relatives could have been killed by an angry mob."

OK, "final deterrant" is nukes, but what does he mean by "Canadian waters"? ICBMs on a sub?

A final deterrent for a mid to small country is to pull a Finland and make it so painful and not so quick that the bigger power thinks better of it or regrets the aggression. It is logical as any surface forces would be taken out quickly but conventional subs are more like gorilla warfare, can take out a target way more valuable than it self.

Since everybody is going rogue, France should just hook up their brothers in Quebec with a good deal on fully equipped used SNLEs and call it good. That’s where the world is going anyhow. Nuke non proliferation is dead.
