    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'm stoked to hear from all of you slip sliders. It gets quiet around here in the offseasons.
    G-saurus - swing by with your frothiness whenevs. Holla when ya get close. Late feb is good timing. babybear knows a steep and deep guide or two, ubetcha.
    GDT in the house. Le Tits Now.
    Ski220-you guys decide on westbank or town digs?
    Schwerty and BB - ski with me dammit. Far too few turns lately.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Welcome to the Doldrums of November. When there ain't shite going on and it's not snowing.
    It'll break a lesser mag.

    I’m rehabbing my hip right now, but we already booked the last week the resort is open, which is kind of a fun week.

    Coming back to use 2 free mountain collective. WILL not be chasing pow. Lines and angry trolls not my style. But god that place is special!

    1st trip was the year they threw out Doug for cutting ropes. DJ what year was that? We ponied up for a group lesson that got up to cut the tram line 4 times. The day before was “HuGE” and never opened. Patroller got caught and carried but not hurt. East coaster in tram line with bombs going off and the 1million mile stare of patrol. I remember standing in line trying to hear their radios as they got back in the tram to bomb more shit. Resort did not open that day and skied a 2 hour ticket at snow king and it was a blast.

    Lost a ski in Laramie bowl and patrol had to give me a loaner to get back to base. Then Jhole sent it back to me in August.

    Place has changed but it is still special.

    Goal this year is to get my daughters down Alta chutes if the snow is good.

    Thinking of heading that way just after Xmas depending on conditions, or later in the season if not. Have a Mountain Collective and small slide in on a Tundra that is self sufficient if anyone knows of good spots or has a driveway spot. Can offer the same in CO. Probably camp at Grand Targhee a few nights too.

    ^^
    Moose flashback. My first trip in Jackson was in 1978 with the Colorado State Ski Bums ski club.
    Dropped a hit of window pane and spent the day in the woods with a cow. She loved me long time.

    Those of you that had me in your driveway last Winter… I’ll vouch for Name Redacted. He offered up driveway space to me in CO and showed me around ABasin. Not a bag of dicks…hook him up if ya can and he can ski the goods.

    That'll work. We've got parking space for mags in good standing. No worries.

    Hoping to make it back the season! I picked up the MC pass.

    I think I need new boots & footbeds with new foot issues, anyone in Driggs folks could recommend? I’ve heard Tricia at Peaked mentioned a few places. Otherwise, I guess I would head over the pass to see Matt at TVS or Pat at JHS, but Driggs would be closer. Thinking I could take the new doggo to Russ at the Hairball Hotel for a few hours to see how she does in doggie daycare.

    Got to tell you, going to miss the walkability of town but
    not the rush hour commute.

    Stevied - You on board this year? Car pool in the AM.

    Coolio on that location. It occurred to me the other day that the bridge construction will in some way be a hassle. They're mostly done at the intersection, and the new south half of the bridge. But there's gonna be some pinch times for sure.

    They now have a merge sign and a yield sign for the same lane heading to town from Wilson.

    That's creating a mindset that it's a zipper merge, and it's not. It's a full yield until traffic passes or a viable gap occurs. I see shit happening there as soon as the road gets slick.

    And the 1/2 mile passing lane from town just got hacked to about 30' so the asshats on the butte can have a private merge lane.

    Just when I get stoked about Wydot and the pass repairs, they just pencil in that stupid shit. Fuuuck.

    Might try and roll a 2FUNKY crew again this season. Had way too much fun rolling with DJ and crew last year. You’re always welcome with a place to crash up here in the Narth DJ!

    Kasey at Habitat on mountain at Targhee is great to work with.

    Same with the weekday crew in town at Habitat in Driggs. Many decades of experience in both locations.

    Kasey was at Skinny Skis and I think Jason in Driggs has previously worked at Hoback Sports.

    Anyone been out on the pass the last week? I’m on a road trip and trying to decide if it’s a feasible idea to smash my rock skis up on Edelweiss or Tele bowl?

    Thanks! The new dog is a Newfoundland rescue and has never been boarded before. Not sure how she’ll do. I’ve boarded my dogs with Russ before and he has been great.

    .

    Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve developed capsulitis in my second toes which makes skiing in my current boots horrible.

    Looks like JHMR is doing the half off lift tickets if you have a pass at another mountain again? But also looks like all of mid-winter is already sold out for that deal, is that right?
