    Bay Area Knee Dr recs

Any recommendations for a good knee Dr in the bay area?

Moving there in a month and have some chronic knee issues I want to get checked out. ACL tear 10 years ago and chronic runners knee/quad weakness.

I'm moving to SF but willing to go anywhere in the bay area.

Yep, the orthos there used to be the team doctors for the giants/raiders/niners. Had Dr. King as my Ortho for a few years (did my meniscus) and saw pros in the waiting room a few times.

I've been pretty satisfied with UCSF ortho institute in mission bay. They seemed competent and it was pretty quick to get an appointment. No idea about procedures or anything else though.

I worked with those guys and some of their fellows. I was….unimpressed. Dirty secret of team sports docs, they pay for that affiliation, it’s great marketing.

They were competent for the most part imo, just nothing special. I’ve worked with enough surgeons in the last [emoji639][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]] years to recognize exceptional talent. My recommendation previously posted is one of the exceptionally talented surgeons I’ve worked with. He’s also a great human being and a very gifted athlete. He played soccer professionally for the LA Lazers.

These guys offer some cutting edge non-surgical treatments in addition to traditional approaches.
