Blood Flow Issues in Femoral Arteries Again

iliac branch prosthesis, bilateral iliac stents.
They are also going to repair a minor aneurysm in my aorta "Bonus repair"

I am currently checked into Veterans Guest House for the night, so I don't have to worry about getting to the hospital @06::00 tomorrow. Hospital is across the street.

They told me their might be two surgeons working on me. They told me the procedures were going to take approximately 6 hours.
After surgery I will be admitted to the hospital for a couple of days.

Anyway, a bit nervous but glad I'm being taken care of. The pain when I try to walk a short distance is mind numbing. It's been getting worse and worse the past few months.

    Wish me luck?

You are an asshole. But so am I.
Best wishes on the surgery. Hope it helps.

But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers

Sounds like maybe an aorto femoral bypass? Done open--with incisions in the belly and groins? If so, the aneurysm isn't so much a bonus as you can't really sew to even a small aneurysm. I would assume 2 surgeons if I'm right about the case. Wait until the whole body shave starts to grow back. Lots of fun. Best of luck.

    I'm home.
The experience was a lot to process.
I thank them for saving my life. They may or may not have fixed the issue that I was complaining about. The steady loss of mobility due to extreme pain and loss of my right calf muscles.

That's still there post op. But now that there is a stronger blood flow, it might heal.
What the surgeon drove home was that my Aorta right above the split was 95% blocked. I was dangerously close to that becoming completely blocked.
She said I didn't have the time to look down stream from there. TBD - next month

Honestly i'm a bit concerned about what life going forward looks like for me.
Things always seem to work out.
I'm home in bed watching TV. i'm 4 hours into an oxy pill. NUMB

So life is good at the moment/

The ICU nurses were complimenting the surgeon on how nice and tiny the TWO incisions in my groin area. - They were looking for a third

I’m glad to hear you made it through the operation without a problem. Hope you’re able to heal up in time to get back on the slopes this year.

So sounds like not open surgery--they stented your aorta? Hope it does the job.
