I just popped out of an online rabbit hole started by reading about how 6 traveling drunks fought Paul Bissonnette and I was like WTF are these or any Irish Travelers doing in the United States....oh, shit well now I know after reading a bunch of news stories. Crazy.

Yeah, it was pretty interesting listening to the podcast about the attack. The spitting Chiclets guys are kind of jackasses, but they are also pretty tied into what's happening in the league and can be pretty funny. Sounded like quite the brawl.

there is an enclave of them in SC. they make their way up here about once a year. a crime wave follows. they steal anything and everything that isn't bolted to bedrock, horses in particular. of course, their bread and butter are the driveway and roofing scams. when not stealing or scamming, they do exactly what they did in biz nasty's case: start shit in a bar or restaurant and fight anyone who tries to intervene. fucking scum of the earth.

I knew about the brawl, but the travelers wrinkle is news to me. I do remember reading all the Irish surnames of the suspects and figured they were some Massholes on vacation.

"Panger" seems to be on every hockey broadcast I watch. He seems to have assumed the role of ubiquitous annoying clown who can't shut up that was vacated by Pierre McGuire. Also, the NHL concept that sticking "er" on the end of someone's name constitutes a proper nickname shows a serious lack of imagination. As does nicknaming someone after their number.

It is standing room only, but there’s a bar and bathroom close and you get great views of the ice surprisingly! $10 for this is a steal given the convenience. You may even be able to grab a seat in the nosebleeds if you want to sit and have full view of the rink!

hell of a win for the club tonight. should have been 5-1 (they won 2-1), but the crowd looked like they went nuts in the last 3 mins for the goal at 90 seconds and the 6 on 4 finish.

Florida tied Bruins with 2 seconds left in the 3rd. Boston won it with 1 second left in OT. Always lovely to see Panthers lose but that was particularly enjoyable, despite them getting a point. Even better--the goal was a pass across the ice that deflected off a Florida stick and looped over Bobrovsky.

Utah fans get to vote on final naming options - Utah HC, Utah Mammoth, Utah Wasatch. All other names got rejected by US Patent office.
