    JONG IKON Pass question

I am renewing my season passes and was thinking about adding an Ikon Base to my Alta pass because it's pretty cheap and I don't really ski on holidays or weekends much so the blackout dates are not an issue. My question is can I access 'Bird through the Sugarloaf gate with an Ikon Base? I would obviously be using my Alta pass to get to the gate.

yeah i don't see why it wouldn't work so long as the gate is open. pass doesn't give a shit what you do as long as you have days available.

You’d better check on that, I know Ikon passes added onto a Snowbird pass doesn’t give you any Alta days.

I just received a call back from Snowbird pass office and the answer is yes.

    Careful

I’m looking at doing the same, and I don’t think the base add on can be used for snowbird, or deer valley, Snowbasin. Go read the info under season pass.

    Like Cono and I said...

Alta and Alta-Bird Season Passholders can purchase an Ikon Base Pass add-on for $349. Your Ikon Base pass does not provide access to Alta, Snowbird, Deer Valley, Snowbasin, Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Taos or Aspen Snowmass. The Ikon Base add-on is not available for Midweek and 80+ season passes or Pay-As-You-Ski Cards—Sunnyside At 3, Gold Card, 10-Day and Powder Card.

You are correct. The base pass does not provide access to 'Bird. I think I have all of my bases covered otherwise for 24-25. There might have been a misunderstanding with what I was asking the ticket office.

What’s the play. First full season in Utah coming up.

I like midweek pow, creature of habit. Will make a Tahoe trip or three.

    1. Ikon full, and bounce around? Soly is the only unlimited. Bummer.

    2. Snowbasin full with ikon add on, bounce around with two unlimited mtns. Are there mtns restricted with the add in??.

3, full Alta, plus Ikon add on , i get soly, some Brighton, and my squaw trips. I’m liking that.

Living downtown. Will ski every morning on a good powder day.

Ive had Alta and Loveland for quite a while and for $349 the add on makes sense for what I'll get for the money spent. Add on everything offered from Powder alliance and it's a no brainer. Some years my Loveland pass pays for itself by skiing areas offered by Powder Alliance as Im always traveling for work and there is usually one within striking distance. This winter I plan to take more time off to ski and the initial cash outlay is a bit more but judging by the numbers and the availability of places like squaw etc I think it'll work nicely although not having Taos is a bummer.

Don't sleep on soli! But if you're skiing that much I really doubt you'd regret splurging.
