I know this is crazy, but has the reason for the continued breakage been investigated? It's like one thing after the other with a band-aid here and a band-aid there. I almost had to work yesterday (but just kept refreshing instead).

All IT fails should be driven to root cause.

they’re trying to bring the relic of a site into the somewhat recent past or maybe even present. the lag today was not an expected byproduct of what was supposed to be a small change. i’m pretty sure we’ll see the benefits of the work sometime soon. anyway, i’m gonna punch out of my job but they’re still working on it. hopefully things are “normal” again soon.

Thanks for that update. A pinned communication about site maintenance in the Padded Room (of course) might keep the hoi polloi from stroking out and give you guys something to point to. "Hey, fuckfaces. The box fan is being upgraded between x and y dates."

yeah i agree and it’s been suggested already. none of the mods are project managing or fixing these things. it’s between tgr and the consultants they pay. i’d like to see an alert banner when there’s work going on as higher priority than the shopping banner but wygd. none of us pay for anything. i have some high hopes that the platform will be robust, fast, and more fun to use when this stuff is done. but if it keeps breaking and we lose leroy in the meantime, no complaints.

Still ridiculously slow, like 15-20 second subforum or thread load time.
64bit Win10, Edge browser, 300Mbps wifi connection.

Same username/password, login via Windows laptop works, but fails to login via Chrome on Android phone, and via Tapatalk. Wonder if it's some sort of anti-abuse mechanism that's glitching for Android phones.

UPDATE: I can login via tetongravity.com/login from my phone, but that doesn't fix the Tapatalk login failure or the in-forum login failure from my phone.

Our teenagers made themselves unwelcome months before it was time for them to leave home. It eased the empty nest syndrome a lot. I imagine the same thing is going on with TGR--when they shut it down for good, we won't miss it.
