Then why even say anything?
2026.
Have some balls. If you’re gonna announce that you’re doing something, state it or shut the fuck up.

Ahhh. Fuck me. Busted by Buttah.
I apologize. I do this. I drink and I post and I think it’s funny. And then I get called out.
I was doing so well. It’s been weeks. But my neighborhood bbq party got me. Then I clicked in here and found something to bitch about.
I’m sorry. It was supposed to be funny but it never is.
Sorry, madcult. I wanna see Tyrolia kill CAST. My bad.

Hopefully this pushes look to finally pull up their pants and just buyout CAST. Turn it into a cleaner, retail ready, and indemnified design.
Being independent has given us slow refinement, painfully limited production and an unnecessarily expensive product. We’d probably would have had a fully indemnified 2.0 equivalent 5+ years ago at the $500-$600 price point if look had bought out CAST a decade ago. Every shop could likely mount them too.
Likely would have pushed Amer to address many of the issues with the shift due to actual competition (CAST does not meaningfully compete against the PT or shift in any significant sense).
I’m not really sure how skiing has benefited from CAST being independent? The overall concept hasn’t changed just slowly improving in execution to something approaching a retail ready product.
Im sure Look is trying to make things happen while not infringing on CAST's copyright/patent. Let the guys in Driggs innovate and enjoy some success with their creation. My skiing has benefitted greatly from CAST being independent as Ive been able to buy the systems and spare parts to do what I need to do. I don't care about some dentist being able to buy and have a CAST system mounted in any shop that sells Pivot bindings.
Attached is an image of the bindings in alpine and hike mode. You can find some more specs from the Attack Hybrid and all new color ways of the other bindings from Tyrolia here: https://prime-skiing.de/tyrolia-atta...026-pid144172/
Im curious if the tech toes and/or the heel riser integrated brakes fit Attack Demos.

I like how many of you dismiss the Duke PT, that binding skis so incredibly well with so much power.
Tyrolia... lol
I’m sure all those WC skiers are lol’ing about Tyrolia.
My buddy the Head/Tyrolia rep has fondled this new hybrid and it’s remarkably refined according to him

So I just read on blister that this new binding can be skied in downhill mode with either the tech or alpine toes. Tech toes are for “emergency” downhill skiing only apparently. Is this the first binding of this type that can do that? I would love to have a binding that allowed both options personally.

he would say that wouldn't he?

I mounted up a pair. Really confused why it didn't use the attack demo mount pattern. My theory is they will make more off selling the jigs than the binding.
Binding is ok. I doubt you could use the levers to remove the toe when you have gloves on. They are a small version of a normal demo binding latch. If you were to not click it in, or crash and hit the lever, you could lose the toes. Unlike cast, they slide on from the front and could just as easily slide off the front.

The heel is on a demo track too so you could slide it off for a light weight climb.
Rumour around town is it iced up like a son of a gun.
