    Slackline

    Anyone into this?

    We have the Gibbons classic.

I have trees in the yard but not in any good locations to set up.
Our soil is hard compacted clay/shale so digging a dead man without a backhoe is right out. May also try to pound in HD rebar at an angle.

Watched several diy videos, due to my soil conditions probably gonna make two A frames from 2x4s and get a four pack of HD spiral ground anchors.

What yall got for diy anchors?

I love slacklines. We have a regular Gibbon and a travel one. The travel one is shorter and the material is thinner so it flexes more.

We used to have the slackline up most of the time when we lived in New England. I was never doing tricks and the like, but I'd make a few attempts when I would go out to take out the compost and the like. Now we live in the desert with no trees, so we haven't had it up much.

Ended up doing dead man anchors. Lot of work but they are super solid.

Still using the bamboo xc poles for support while i gain muscle memory. Will ditch them soon I hope.

How Not 2 is a great resource. Also, don't be like that little girl in Boulder who the Phish had to play a memorial for a month or so ago.

We just picked up a GiBoard home slackline. Pretty fun for indoor exercise/distraction.

What happened? That doesn't sound good.

    And who is "the Phish?"

Parents set up a slackline in the backyard off of a dead tree. Not hilarity ensued.

They are slack lining enthusiasts from Vermont.

I know it seems like all the stupid people are in Boulder but it was in Littleton, almost 2 years ago.

The slackline incident was a 4 year old in littleton. Nothing to do with the girl from Boulder the Phish paid tribute to. https://www.9news.com/article/news/l...f-6418436bd6e3
