Holy shit, I cant imagine whats going on in her head. It must bring out old feelings as well. She has a long road ahead that no one should have to experience. Much love to her and her family.
I thought it sound like an alcohol accident, but didnt want to speculate. Seems like an unfortunate series of events (pissing off the boat then falling in, or tripping on a board resulting in falling in). alcohol and boats/water often dont mix.
Only 41?

Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
Wow. That's terribly sad. My condolences to her, the family, and to you.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.
That sucks. Condolences to his wife, family, and friends. RIP
Been away a few days, and come back to this....sorry to hear, peace to family and friends. This has to be hard on every one.
I just a good friend to a heart attack at age 47. It's hard one someone is in your life o e minute and then gone. It is never easy, but if you have some forewarning you can at least prefer yourself to some degree. It sucks when you go to bed knowing somebody is there, and wake in to find he no longer is in this world.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot
I've had people I'm close to go quick and others drawn out. Not sure which is easier.
I did get more insight not that it matters but didn't want to think this was completely a booze and boats disaster. They were drinking but I don't think it's as bad as the sacbee made it sound. There were two couples on top of the boat. The two wives went to bed. The dudes stayed up. Ski_faster decided to sleep on an air mattress up top and the other guy went downstairs to bed. A couple hours later, shit hit the fan. I guess it was a really great night of food and fun. No fights or emotions or anything weird. I'm sure the autopsy will turn up more answers but I'm not interested in what it will say. Won't change anything.
Damn, sorry to hear that man, RIP.
So happy that I found this forum and responded to your ISO BC skiers, I still have the photos of the first day I ever skied with you. You were on Alpine Trekkers and I was on some sort of telemark setup. We both evolved in our gear and our touring abilities. You taught me that locking them back down with the Blizzard Titan Argos at Brundage that day after years of tele'ing would relight my passion for skiing.
I will and still miss all the good times with you Joe. You taught me so much about life and myself. You were always so willing to go out and get after it even if it seemed like a bad idea on those days. We approached skiing with caution ALWAYS and we always came out of the mountains safe to play another day.
I'll never forget the first yurt trip you went on after I invited you to take Mrs. Mtnjams place, although I DO regret the night before the yurt trip and playing quarters with the bartender at The Casino. The entire way into Pioneer Yurt was brutal with that nasty of a hangover. I will still honor your request to NOT post any photos from that trip, although, I still won't forget the MELK and the socks.

Nate: I'll post up some photos later....
RIP and condolences for your loss and to his family and other friends. My first thought when I read the story was that maybe he'd been partying, woke up in the night to take a leak, was disoriented from being in a strange place and simply fell off the boat. We'll never know but the circumstances as you described them make it seem possible. I've had similar moments when I woke up in a strange place, not really fully awake and did something like that. A friend of mine fell down some stairs doing the same thing, thinking he was walking into a bathroom only to take the first step and crash. It happens. Sad deal for his wife. Vibes.
Condolences.
