RIP Alecs. +++vibes to friends and family.
northern lights and southern comfort...
Alecs seems like a partner I wish I knew when I was living in Cottonwood Heights. All of us going out with this snowpack anywhere in the Northern Rockies are against the same odds. I could hardly believe the location and size of a slide that went natural in a familiar zone near the end of last week.

S.I.P. brethren
mmmm, snow
Alecs,
I miss you man. I miss your quick wit and your shit talking ways. I'll miss your inspiration, your drive and your determination. Alecs Barton was an adventurous soul and a good friend. The dude flat out got after it in a big way, you look at his vimeo page and its just one classic after another. In his short time in utah, alecs ticked off more classics than many will in their whole lives and I'm proud to have shared some of those outings with you. I didn't know alecs for a very long time, but he had a profound effect on me. He had a love for the outdoors driving down to southern utah almost every weekend this fall for desert adventures and we're well acquainted with his winter hobby. I am better for have knowing you.
god speed alecs! may the trails always be tacty and the powder always deep and fluffy! love you brother.......
