Woof. As a dad to three little ones I can't imagine.

As a Maggot, he was definitely one of the most inspirational dudes here or anywhere on the interweb.

Probably 13ish years ago I had some time off in the summer between grad school years. I was going to be in Yurp w/Mrs. Comish visiting the inlaws and was trying to figure out a plan. Its all a little fuzzy, but the dude put me up in Oslo for a few nights before I struck out north solo to explore the Norwegian fjords. I think it went somewhat similar as Mulletizer, show up in Oslo on a street corner and I will find you. My wife and inlaws were seriously dubious of this plan. Wait, you are going to fly to Oslo and get to a street corner and a dude you have never met except through the interwebs is going to find you? Yep. The plan worked great and the trip, while rainy and cold, was a definite success.

I had recently spent 2 years in London spending weekends exploring the Alps and he, Mulletizer, and others were an inspiration for exploring La Grave and other fantastic destinations in the alps. I remember talking skis with him for hours in his flat in Oslo. Always wished I had the privilege to ski with him, but was stoked to have met him and a more generous genuine maggot didn't exist.
