I was trying to find the pic in google photos and searched for "coyote" and got nada. Tried "wolf" and it popped right up.

    Not saying it's a wolf. But that's a pretty wolf-y Coyote.

Wrong. Coyodoodle. They're like $2500 plus adoption fees.

Thread drift...I read where the guy who developed the Golden-doodle deeply regretted it. A big percentage of them had behavior problems.

Ha ha ha. My first encounter with a Labradoodle was dropping my daughter off at camp ~20 years ago, and it was in this big barn. Everybody’s dropping their kids off, and it’s kind of rural so people are milling around with their dogs and this lady opens the door of her Range Rover and a Labradoodle gets out, runs to the middle of the barn and takes a big shit.
The thing about designer dogs is you want the good qualities but you get the shitty qualities too, so often you’ll just get the worst qualities of the two breeds.
Although I bet a coyo-heeler would be pretty fucking cool for Eastern WA.

When you combine a dog known for being dumb and a dog known for being an asshole, you're going to get some dumb assholes. You'll also get some smart sweethearts, but that's probably few and far between. No offense to the poodle fans out there.

I had a heeler german shep wolf mix. He was the smartest toughest craziest dog I've ever known and one of the sweetest. mountain biked with me till he was 15. Got ambushed by three coyotes in the dark at 14 and tore them apart.

alright so since i started sending shells into the treeline whenever i heard a yip or rustling, they haven't come into the yard. all is well there. what i have started noticing is the resident barn owls will go batshit hootin and hollerin and then the coyotes will get to chasing something. are they in cahoots (no pun intended)? we gotta have a resident ornithologist who can settle all this for me. very curious.

Well the owls hoot to scare prey enough so that it moves and gives itself away enough to be caught, it wouldn't be too surprising if the 'Yotes picked up on that whole deal.

This is the male roaming around our golf course. This was taken by the grounds crew right in my backyard. He is the size of a pretty large German Shepherd.
