    Making a pole flask?

Anyone ever make a pole into a flask? I was thinking of taking an old aluminum pole, thickest I can find, taking the grip off, sealing the end of some pvc tubing, pushing that end down into the pole then coming up with some kind of screw top poking through the top of the grip.

like this but homemade and not a hundred bucks.

    Right?

If you want to do it the hard way, host an Ullrfest at your house, serve mags a ton of beer, food, and other consumables, and get a flask as a reward.

im pretty sure the original pole flask had an inner sleeve which of course you won't have so maybe it leaks

but why increase your swing weight when you can just carry a flask ?

You’d have to make two, otherwise it will throw off your double pole plant technique

Ok so no one’s done it. I fully agree about a regular flask and have several; the idea is for a gift for a buddy who’s taking us to his work ski house, he’s a bourbon guy so I thought of this. Last time we went I made him a shotski which he loved.

Short answer, I agree with the arguments against but was hoping for some tips if anyone’s done it

If he is serious about his booze I am not sure he will want to drink it from his ski pole. I prefer to drink in a glass flask like the Ragproper than in a metal flask too.

Right, this is also why it's important to use glass in your DIY shot ski build.

It’s worth mentioning that after the initial few pulls on a pole flask all others are like a shotgun of booze. Very difficult to control intake. If you like 3-4 finger shots they hit the spot. If you prefer a simple snip a regular flask is 100% superior

My old poles have an ~18” insert that replaced the handles. Screw-on cap.
The schnapps would be ice cold! Just tip it slowly till it starts flowing.
