Back in the day, seemed that almost every film came packaged with some great song that was meant to go top of the pop charts. Often times, some of these randomly just sneak into my head out of the blue where it gets stuck there on an earworm loop, so I queue it up on my stereo and bam! I'm instantly transported back to my youth or a particular moment in my past. There are WAY too many to list in one go, so I'll just get this party started and add as I think of them. Post up your favorite movie tracks!!!

This happens to me with ski movies. Like any time I hear ELO's Don't Bring Me Down, I think of Petit's segment in Attack of La Nina.



Same goes for Fugazi / Waiting Room and Mike Douglas' segment in Yearbook (couldn't find a video of that one).

Always hated it when that song would pop in my head after breaking up with a girl I wasn't over (and we both loved doing Bond marathons together)

Ms Simon’s joint was the theme song to The Spy Who Loved Me (Duran Duran did the theme song for A View To A Kill, though imho the producers should have gotten Grace Jones to do that one…).



That is one of my favorite Bond movie theme songs, though!

No doubt! Morricone's Mission score is utterly magnificent. Scores are definitely allowed for this thread!!! Speaking of film scores, basically ANYTHING by Vangelis transports me to times past and future alike...

One of the songs that was HUGE at the time and really is a great tune in it's own right was Madonna's "Live to Tell" from At Close Range (1986). Always takes me back. Not the movie so much, but the song. Haha. Was on the radio all the time, along with SO many other movie tracks, like so many things by Kenny Loggins.
