Try this:
- Go into your private messages
- On the left side, under "my profile", choose "edit profile"
- On the left side, under "my account", choose "general settings"
- about halfway down the next page, there is an option for "sent messages" where you can select "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"
- scroll to the bottom and save changes
Alternatively, if you don't want this to happen by default, every time you send a PM, there is a slew of check boxes below the text box where you write your PM. One of those check boxes is "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." It will already be checked if you chose it as the default option as per above, but you can do it for individual messages (or uncheck it if you don't want to save).
