    Cuff alignment with non-adjustable cuffs

So, I have some custom orthotics that I've had for about 3 years that have an adjustment for my bow-leggedness (forgot the correct anatomical term), as well as adressing a metatarsal issue, that I've just been using for hiking and daily use, then using green superfeet in ski boots because, well, that's just what I've always used. However, I threw these orthotics in my classic XC boots for a day out, and was pleasantly surprised at how flat the ski was gliding, as well as not collapsing laterally on the kick. So, I'm going to try them in my AT boots, which don't have any kind of medial/lateral cuff adjustment. The orthotics are ramped so the medial side is higher and tapers lower laterally. This might seem like an obvious question, but would the best/easiest solution be to simply pad the medial side of the liner in the cuff? Reasoning is that since space is being filled medially on the footbed, I'd also want to fill space medially in the cuff. I'd probably create a wedge stacking 1/4" foam. Just wanted confirmation and hear other thoughts before I jump into it.

Easy would be to stuff a football in the shell, heat where you want moved & inflate.

That said cuff alignment is like the base bevel in that it determines how reactive the ski is….. forget that nonsense about being in the center 100%

Put footbeds in boot shell without liner. Stand in boots with feet hip width apart. Slide feet to back of shell. Stand in ski stance.

Does the cuff evenly surround your lower leg or is it biased to one side (assuming probably the outside) if so fill the gap by adding foam to your liner as you suggested.

Ski some mellow groomers to test. If you like it party on. If you don’t, try the pad on the other side.

Yeah will definitely fill medially. Maybe I should just throw a rear spoiler in there.
